Teuscher chocolates are best enjoyed at room temperature. Due to their delicate nature and the fact that we do not use any preservatives or additives, the chocolates should be stored in a cool and dry place at a temperature between 60 -70°F.If it is necessary to refrigerate the chocolates, it is recommended to keep them in their original package in the warmest area of the refrigerator, such as the lowest section or drawer. Before enjoying the chocolates, remove them from the refrigerator to let them get acclimatized and let the full flavor develop.
If chocolates remain in a warm environment and begin to melt, they will undergo a process known as “blooming,” which happens when the cocoa butter rises to the surface and appears as white or gray streaks. Chocolate bloom does not affect the taste, but it should be avoided as it can alter the texture and shelf-life.
